When catering for crowds of excited spectators event organizers should carefully choose the correct crowd barrier safety system to keep people safe and avoid injury.

You might think securing an area at a musical festival, around a DJ box or near a stage as a simple job. Just erect some fencing and your done right!? Wrong!

Most easy to erect barrier would easily give way when pressed upon by eager fans, and larger sturdier solutions may be too tall and could even cause people to be crushed, injured and even loose conscious!

A properly designed heavy duty festival barrier will take these aspects in to account with properly designed, built in safety features, correct height and sturdy construction.

Features of a heavy duty event festival barrier.

The most effective form of event barrier for securing areas from large crowds is the ‘A’ frame design barrier.
These barriers are usually available as a solid or folding design and feature the appropriate safety elements to prevent injury.
From the crowds side the heavy duty event barrier has a large platform with a gradual step up. The large platform prevents the barrier from tipping over, while the gradual step prevents tripping accidents.
Also the main wall area which will keep fans away from sensitive areas is waist height and us usually made of thinner, deformable steel to prevent crush injuries.

However, despite these design efforts there are sometimes circumstances where people are injured and even pass out and so need to be evacuated quickly for medical attention. To help security and first aid staff get to these injured people a handy step is usually built in to the non crowd side.
